2017 - Our first PEACA fundraising effort was very successful allowing us to fulfill our mission of “cultivating creativity & connecting community” and to expand our programming Sponsorship in the coming year!
2016 – Led by historian Mark Stoffer-Hunter featuring Paul Engle’s home & local landmarks with a focus on what it would have been like during the time featured in Paul’s memoir “A Lucky American Childhood” .
Each October we celebrate Paul Engle’s Birthday by hosting community events, featuring performances, writings,and artwork of community members and local school children.
2015 - Community Visual Art Contest in partnership with the Artisan’s Sanctuary. Cash prizes were awarded. Applicants aged 16 & over. We hired student ensemble group, Leviathan to perform.
A collaboration of many community organizations brought together resources, community building activities and good old fashioned fun! Our PEACA activity booth featured an interactive poetry board.
A celebration for neighborhood children and their families. Featuring local school choirs and performers from the community. Christmas cookies, hot cocoa with crafts, and caroling through the neighborhood.
We are very excited about our recent partnership with EIAA! Our first joint effort, "Rock Band Boot Camp" focused on the business of being a professional musician. Our newest colaborations are Writer's Workshop and Book Binding.
Partnering with JSA's PTA & Harmony School of Music, this after school enrichment offers year-long beginning band experience with wind, brass, and percussion instuments as well as music lessons during the school day.
PEACA's long established writing classes taking place as part of JSA's after school enrichment program. Offering two calsses each year focusing on journaling & creative writing.
